Easley Chamber Celebrates Quilt Trail Square Ribbon Cutting

The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce celebrated their ribbon cutting of their new addition of the Upstate Heritage Quilt Trail square on the side of their building on Friday, September 13.

This quilt square was painted after a beautiful quilt that was created between 1840 and 1850, according to Seneca quilt historian Laurel Horton. In addition to the name Noon Day Lilies, it was also know as Goose Treacks and Sage Bud. It is a four-square grid pattern, all hand pieced and quitled, and much loved by its owner, Dean Dykes.
