Max Monroe, Assistant Principal, Pickens High School, addressed the Easley Chamber of Commerce October luncheon at DunBurks Premier Events. As a person that became involved in instructional technology from its earliest days in education, Max has been a user, trainer, developer, and advocate for technology in schools. Max is an avid follower of the development of future technology and its impact on society, education and business.

Max Monroe’s presentation on technology discussed “Trends to Consider When Planning for the Future”. What trends and factors do businesses need to consider while planning for the future. Change is inevitable; therefore, what do wise decision makers consider when making consequential decisions? The presentation showed examples that leading futurists are touting as the way of the 21st Century. He examined advertising, electronics, and trends in current research and development. “Making poor choices can lead to huge losses financially as well as threatening the survival of your business,” stated Mr. Monroe.
