October 6, 2011, marked the grand opening of the new Easley Amphitheater in the Old Market Square downtown Easley with a ribbon cutting conducted by the Easley Chamber of Commerce. It will be an all-purpose outdoor event amphitheater open for community events. The city has already had three Movies on the Market to packed audiences. Weddings have been held in the Amphitheater and more are scheduled. The city’s music series will be held in the spring at this location. During the grand opening, the Flashbacks performed from 7:00 – 10:00 PM to a full audience.
Renovation of the Amphitheater is phase I of a multi phase improvement for Old Market Square and its surroundings. Call the Easley Parks and Recreation at 855-7933 to reserve the Amphitheater for future events.
