The Powdersville Business Council of the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce held their monthly luncheon Thursday, March 24, 2011, at the Powdersville Library. Dr. Jere Kirkley, Judy Adkins, Cindy Langley and students of Anderson Districts 1 & 2 Career & Technology Center spoke to the group of chamber members.
The ACTC serves over 1800 students from Belton-Honea Path, Palmetto, Powdersville and Wren High School. The school has received national & state achievement awards & was recognized in the top ten nationwide. Employers may partner with the Career and Technology Center to provide internship programs, job shadowing, part-time work, service learning and co-op. The school is in its fifth year as a Project Lead the Way Model School.
Next month’s Powdersville Business Council Luncheon will be held on Thursday, April 28 at the Powdersville Library.
