The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce held the 3rd Thursday Luncheon March 17, 2011 at DunBurks Premier Events located in downtown Easley. Dr. Leonard Williams, Director of B. J. Skelton Career Center, along with Instructor, Hank Hutto and students from the Career Center gave the program. B. J. Skelton Career Center is educating “students to compete in a global market, to work smarter through machines,” said Dr. Williams. The students demonstrated a machine that they built and demonstrated the computer program that they use to program the machines. Many other careers are also taught at the center. Dr. Williams had a question/answer period to follow and invited everyone to attend the Grand Opening of the New Career & Technology Center Sunday, October 16, 2011.

3rd Thursday Luncheon next month will be April 21, at DunBurks Premier Events. The speaker will be Alan Melton of Empire Business Brokers.
