The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce 63rd annual awards gala was held at Tri-County Technical College – Easley Campus on February 19, 2011. Led by Chairperson Janelle Beamer, the committee worked hard on the program, decorations, food, and atmosphere to create an event where we were “Proud as Peacocks” of the Easley area and of our Chamber of Commerce. Jeff Bennett with View Digital Media and chamber director Michael Dent put much effort in a video and PowerPoint presentation that led the awards portion of the evening. Thanks to our emcee Lauren Aiken Morris of 98.9 FM Morning Show who guided our program.

Awards were given to Terrie Albright for Ambassador of the Year and Rusty Bynum for Director of the Year. Applebee’s was selected from twelve (12) Businesses of the Month for Business of the Year. Mr. Jimmy Moore was selected as the 2010 Duke Citizenship and Service award recipient for his long time service to youth. Dr. David Spittal was presented a special Community Leadership Recognition for his contribution to Southern Wesleyan University and Pickens County.
