Burriss Nelson, Director, Anderson County Economic Development

The Powdersville Business Council of the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce held their monthly February luncheon Thursday, February 24, 2011, at the Powdersville Library. Burriss Nelson, Director, Anderson County Economic Development spoke to the group of chamber members. Mr. Nelson said, “Anderson County is taking up a workforce effort for more workforce development.” He spoke freely of the need for the education system to stress career centers, technical schools and workshops for the development of establishing a trade.

Next month’s Powdersville Business Council Luncheon will be held on Thursday, March 24 at the Powdersville Library.
