Although open since 2006, Recovery Concepts of the Carolina Upstate (RCCU) recently began operation as a federally regulated Opiate Treatment Program facility and has joined the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce. They are located at 1653 E. Main Street, Easley.
RCCU treats individuals who are dependent on opiates – primarily pain pills. They are prescribed Suboxone or methadone, which helps control withdrawal and provides a blockade that keeps the patients from getting high from opiates. Since beginning operation in Opiate Treatment, they have distinguished themselves as an innovative outpatient Opioid Treatment Program facility. They welcome those who have struggled through relapse and discouragement with traditional care.
Their treatment philosophy is based on the knowledge that chemical dependency is a chronic, relapsing disease that affects individuals physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually. The founders of the program have dedicated their lives and careers to the treatment of chemically dependent people. Between the staff they have forty (40) years experience in treatment of chemically dependent people.
