The Powdersville Council of the Easley Chamber of Commerce met on Thursday, October 28 at noon at the Powdersville Library. Rusty Burns, Anderson County Administrator was the speaker. Mr. Burns stated that there was a hiring freeze in the county because of the economy and that there would be no tax increases.
Anderson Parks, Recreation & Tourism is working hard to develop the Kayak Corridor along the Saluda River increasing tourism. The County is working on an Anderson County TV Station and working hard to bring in new industry. The Powdersville area needs more sewage capacity to make that happen. Mr. Burns said, “Exciting growth is happening in Powdersville.”
