Leadership Pickens County kicked off its 2010/2011 program on Tuesday August 24, 2010, at Clemson University’s Outdoor Lab, Kresge Hall. Speakers for the day included Dr. Tim Drake, Pickens County Councilman Sam Wyche, and Senator Lindsey Graham. Dr. Drake provided the class with the history of Pickens County, while Councilman Wyche educated the class on current issues and demographics pertaining to the County. Senator Graham gave the class some insight into who he is and his link to Pickens County, he then went on to discuss the importance of leadership and how everyone has the power to make a difference.
