2010 Washington Issues Forum

Seventeen (17) members from Chambers in Anderson, Oconee and Pickens County met in Washington, DC on April 28-30 to focus on issues facing our counties and the United States. The chairman of the group was Terry Garrison of Garrison Tax and Business Services of Easley.
Topics included Healthcare, Immigration, National Security, Climate Change, the Tea Party movement, the Media, the Boeing move to South Carolina. Attendees were given the opportunity to visit and tour the Capitol Building, Library of Congress, Senate office building, Smithsonian Institute. Thanks to Congressman Gresham Barrett’s staff for helping to organize the trip and scheduling the great speakers.
