Fibrenew, a mobile service specializing in the restoration of leather, vinyl and plastic has opened its first franchise in the state of South Carolina. Markets serviced include, but are not limited to, residential and office furniture, automotive, marine, aviation and leisure craft, as well as commercial equipment such as dental chairs, doctor examination tables and exercise equipment.

Owners, Rick and Lynn Halpin, have returned to the Upstate after 15 years, following a 3 year move to Melbourne, Australia and the past 12 years in the Raleigh/Durham area. Rick has over 30 years of extensive Textile Industry experience, having worked in many disciplines within this diversified industry; predominantly in the Automotive, Home Furnishing and Medical Services markets. Lynn has spent the past 12 years building a successful marketing business, focused on the restaurant and hospitality industry.  Their son, Chris, works as a technician and in sales.

According to Rick, “Fibrenew Upstate offers a green, cost effective service, which minimizes landfill waste and associated energy consumption by revitalizing, renewing and re-dyeing many items we find around our homes, workplace and leisure areas. By providing an economical service that restores valuable personal and business items to their original state, we can extend their usable life and functionality.”
