November 2009 3rd Thursday Luncheon

The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce held the 3rd Thursday Luncheon meeting on November 19 at the Kimberly Hampton Library in Easley. Economist Scott Baier, PhD spoke to chamber members in attendance following a delicious Thanksgiving Lunch prepared by Taste of Distinction. Dr. Baier previously provided economic counsel to President Bush. He talked about how we got to where we are now economically; what were the main causes of the recession; why the small recovery; where the growth is going to come from and the challenges ahead. A question & answer period followed.
The next 3rd Thursday Luncheon will be held in the new year on January 21 at Dunburks Premier Events in downtown Easley. Jack Roper will be the guest speaker
