Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Company was the site for the October 6 quarterly manufacturing luncheon of the Easley Chamber of Commerce.
Ethan Ware, an environmental regulations attorney with the McNair Law Firm of Columbia spoke to the group of twenty five (25) managers.
Mr. Ware spoke on South Carolina environmental and OSHA enforcement updates. He stated certain EPA standards were relaxed in 2007 relating to recycling spent solvents but the rule on hazardous waste regulatory trends were being reversed in 2009.
He reviewed the top ten (10) OSHA citation results. Missing machine guards were the number one (1) citation item for non-compliance.
The next manufacturers’ luncheon will be December 9 and hosted by Keymark, Inc.
