United Way Of Pickens County Campaign, Local companies set the pace

On September 10, 2009, the local business community, social service agencies, friends and volunteers of United Way of Pickens County gathered at Southern Wesleyan University to announce the results of the current Pacesetter Campaign.

Pacesetter companies are community leaders and strong supporters of United Way. They are chosen to be Pacesetters because they are willing to assume a leadership role within the United Way campaign and because they show an amazing commitment to helping those in need in our community.

The 2010 Pacesetter companies are:

  • Carolina First
  • CommunitySouth Bank
  • Cornell Dubilier
  • JC Penney
  • Peoples National Bank
  • Shaw Industries

To date, these Pacesetter companies have raised a total of $157,080
