The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce quarterly Manufacturer’s Luncheon was held Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at St. Jude Medical located in the Pickens County Commerce Park. Manufacturers from the Pickens County area attended the luncheon meeting followed by a tour of both facilities at St. Jude Medical. Nino’s Restaurant in Liberty catered the luncheon.
David Ewing, Vice President of Manufacturing, gave a PowerPoint presentation about the facility, which opened, in the Commerce Park in 2006. Because of their growth, a second facility, behind the first, was opened in the Commerce Park this past spring. St. Jude Medical manufactures pacemakers and defibrillators and employs 300 people predominately from Pickens County.
