Smithfields County Club was the site of the annual Easley Chamber of Commerce golf tournament on May 5. Chick-fil-A provided lunch and Applebee’s cooked the steak dinner for the evening dinner and awards presentation. Michael Dent, Allstate Insurance served as the chamber awards presenter.
Miss South Carolina, Anna Perry, and Miss Easley, Brendle Gosnell, were at the tournament to greet the 18 teams of players. It was also a business expo with sponsors located on many of the holes to meet players and give them items as they went around the course.
Irv Harrington of Sardi’s Den in Clemson said, “This is the best organized golf tournament I have ever played in. It was also a great networking opportunity for the players and sponsors.” Adam Relan, Golf Pro at Smithfields said, “This is the best organized external event we have at Smithfields”
