The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce held the 3rd Thursday Luncheon meeting on April 16, 2009, at the Kimberly Hampton Library in Easley. Dr. David Spittal, President of Southern Wesleyan University, spoke about “Assurance beyond Uncertainty”. Dr. Spittal described today’s Southern Wesleyan University as “Quality education with a Christian Perspective”. “SWU is teaching students how to live with a quality of life and relationships.” “We must also develop a new generation of leaders,” said Dr. Spittal. He also spoke positively about how the university was faring in this economy.
Next month’s 3rd Thursday Luncheon will be held on May 21 at 12:00 noon. David Scarnati, Development Director for Cedarwood Development, will be giving an overview of the Easley Town Center (Saco Lowell). RSVP to the Easley Chamber by May 19, 859-2693.
