In one of his first speaking engagements as President of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, Otis Rawl was the guest speaker at the Easley Chamber of Commerce’s 3rd Thursday Luncheon on October 16, 2008. Mr. Rawl was named President and CEO of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce effective October 1, 1008. Mr. Rawl spoke to the group on many current issues before the legislature that will affect the members of the Chamber. He spoke about the state of the economy in South Carolina, future energy and power issues and the need for additional nuclear energy, property tax reform and the importance of entering our young people into the workforce through education and training.
The next 3rd Thursday Luncheon will be held November 20th from 12-1pm at the Kimberly Hampton Library with Michael Cogdill as guest speaker. Come enjoy turkey & the trimmings.
