New Bistro 81 opens in Powdersville

Powdersville newest upscale casual eatery, Bistro 81 celebrated its ribbon cutting with the Powdersville Council of the Easley Chamber of Commerce on July 14, 2008. Located on Highway 81 in the 81 Plaza across from the new Ace Hardware, Bistro 81 opens at 11 a.m. Mondays through Sundays, offering an imaginative menu of seafood, steaks, pastas sandwiches, salads – including Tuscan Grilled Salmon to a grilled Bacon Cheeseburger.

In the few short weeks the Bistro has been open, customers are already showing favoritism to some of the items on the imaginative menu. “We’re getting lots of orders for the Low Country Shrimp and Grits,” says Jan Batson Childers. She and Ron Walter are partners with David Walker in this venture. Jan and Ron are the originators of Between the Bun Bistro in Easley, SC.
