The Easley Chamber of Commerce had its New Member Orientation and Business after Hours event at Smithfields County Club on May 8. It was sponsored by Michael Dent of the Allstate Insurance Company. The first half of the event was targeted to all 101 member businesses that have joined since April of 2007. Heavy Hors d’oeuvres were served and two door prizes were given by Allstate from a drawing of attendees.
Michael Dent – Past chairman of Chamber talked about the role of the board of directors, Tiffany Martin explained the purpose of the chamber’s “goodwill” ambassadors.
Fran Cape, Membership Director, and Kent Dykes, President, lead the discussion of the many benefits of Easley Chamber membership. Networking of the new members continued afterward.
Allen Abshire with Coldwell Banker Caine was introduced and stated that they will have the next Business after Hours at there new location at 200 E. First Avenue on June 12. Members are requested RSVP to 859-2693 or ecc@easleychamber.org to reserve for that event.
