Easley Chamber of Commerce manufacturing companies attended the quarterly luncheon hosted by Sulzer Process Pumps on April 30, 2008. Kaarlo Horo, President of Sulzer Process Pumps, welcomed the group. Alan Crawford, Plant Manager, gave a PowerPoint presentation of the facility which opened in Easley in 1991. He made the point that production has nearly doubled in the past four years with about the same amount of people due to methods learned from Lean manufacturing.

The Chamber of Commerce’s Tour Pickens County magazines were distributed to the group to be available for the lobbies of their locations as well as for distribution to prospective employees. The next meeting is scheduled for the end of June.
