Ground breaking marks the beginning of the New Easley High School

Liberty High School, Daniel High School, Pickens High School and Easley High School broke ground that Thursday. This is the major part of the $315 million building replacement and expansion of the Pickens County school district.
School Board Chairman Dr. B. J. Skelton stated at the groundbreaking that, “We will see growth in the county unparalleled when we get these four schools brought to fruition.” He added that, “The board knows that throughout the course of the funding that there were people opposed to it. We feel sure that when these buildings are completed everyone will be proud of what’s been accomplished in our school system.”
Construction work on the Easley High School will begin in April.
