Letter to Chamber Members from our 2007 Chairman of the Board
Dear Chamber Members:
It has been an honor to serve as your Chairman for the past year. During this time I feel that we have made great strides in improving the image and services of the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce. I owe this in no small part to Kent, Fran and all the Chamber staff.
I would also be remised if I failed to mention the fact that I had the pleasure to work with a Board of Directors that were always cooperative, supportive and willing to take on new task and offer their time and talents in support of the Chamber. The ability of this group to come together and work toward one common goal is a credit to each one of them. Having a board like this one made my job very easy and I thank each one of them for that.
Membership grew and involvement in Chamber activities increased with the hard work of the Ambassador Committee and Chamber staff. Your suggestions and concerns were relayed by the Ambassadors to the staff and board and we were able to implement measures and policies based on your feedback.
As we move into 2008, I ask each Chamber member to commit to becoming involved. Support you fellow Chamber members, take time to be a part of Ribbon Cuttings, Business After Hours and Third and Fourth Thursday Lunches. And of course I cannot miss a chance to plug the Annual Chamber Golf Tournament.
Mr. Jeff Willis will take over as Chairman on January 1st. I wish him the best of luck as I pass the gavel and I look forward to working with him in 2008.
Sincerely,
Michael Dent
