The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce held its monthly luncheon meeting November 15th at the Kimberly Hampton Library in Easley. The meeting featured a well known folk historian, musician and storyteller, Dean Watson, who presented “A Thanksgiving Treasury of Upcountry Folklore”. Mr. Watson also treated the crowd to some tunes he played the banjo, the “classic” African American instrument. Turkey, dressing and all the trimmings made the Thanksgiving luncheon complete.
Also in attendance was the newly crowned Miss Easley, Ambra Yarbrough, and Miss Easley Teen, Amanda Parker. Each representative spoke to the group about their platforms and plans for the upcoming year.
