The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce held the Powdersville Luncheon at Marathon Church on September 27, 2007. Representative Dan Cooper was the featured speaker. Rep. Cooper is a S.C. Rep. from Anderson who is chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. The new Powdersville Library will be named after state Rep. Cooper.

The next Powdersville Luncheon will be held October 25th at the new Powdersville Library. Faith Line, interim director, will speak.
