The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce hosted the Easley Mayoral Candidates Luncheon at Smithfields Country Club on Thursday, October 18, 2007. The open meeting for members as well as the public was attended by well over 100 people anxious to hear the candidates. Each candidate spoke for a measured amount of time and then the audience submitted written questions for the candidates to answer. During the luncheon the candidates urged everyone to please vote.
The next 3rd Thursday Luncheon given by the Chamber will be held at Captain Kimberly Hampton Library on November 15th at 12:00 noon. The meeting will have a Thanksgiving emphasis with Dean Watson speaking on 19th Century Pickens County Folklore and turkey & the trimmings by Taste of Distinction.
