AAMCO TRANSMISSION CENTER

The Easley AAMCO Transmission Center on the 123 Bypass at 6744 Calhoun Memorial Hwy has recently changed ownership. Paul Niebauer, a 19 year resident of Easley purchased the Center in February. Call (864) 855-9507 for an appointment. Coffee is available every morning and the hours are Monday through Friday 8 to 5, and Saturday by appointment.

With 40 plus years of history AAMCO is the country’s oldest transmission repair franchise. There are more than 700 individually owned and operated shops nationwide, all of which honor each others work in an unbeatable warranty system. AAMCO is a strong franchise system with an immense knowledge base of historical and current technical data available to each franchisee.

Given the strength of the brand, the nature of the support, and need for service, Paul felt that the Easley center was the perfect opportunity to own and operate his own business. “Automatic transmissions are very complex and vital to the operation of any motor vehicle. Engine oil is changed regularly in most cars, but we forget about the transmission,” Niebauer says. “There are over 600 parts to a modern transmission – more than in an internal combustion engine. And transmissions have evolved from rear wheel drive, vacuum and mechanical operated units to electronically controlled front wheel drive systems. It takes a trained specialist to work on them.”

Paul says you should see his team if you need a diagnosis of a transmission symptom or a fluid and filter change. But he also invites you in for oil changes, brake work, cooling system flushes, and general automotive needs.
