Xtravel Joins Easley Chamber

The newest method of booking your travel arrangements has been brought to the UpState community via Xtravel. Sue Newman, a long-time Easley resident, is introducing Xtravel as the area’s newest top of the line travel agency.

“Our tagline is, ‘From your Armchair to Anywhere’ and that’s exactly how Xtravel can work for you,” said Newman. “In this day and age, there are many people out there who just prefer the privacy and convenience of booking their trip online. If it’s personal, expert, assistance from a travel agent you’re looking for Sue Newman’s experience certainly seems to qualify. “I’ve been in the travel business for the past twenty years and have owned travel agencies in the area for the past eight years.” Newman owned Walhalla Travel in Walhalla and was part owner of Travel World in Easley. Originating from England, she has traveled worldwide including various countries in Europe and Southeast Asia.

When asked what the “X” in Xtravel stands for Newman replies with a grin, “well, it’s whatever you want it to be.” She further explains that the ‘X’ can stand for Xecutive Travel, Xotic Vacations, Xciting Cruises, and Xcellent customer service.
