The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce held the 3rd Thursday Luncheon, November 16, 2006, at the Kimberly Hampton Memorial Library.

The speaker Chris Stone, President of the Greenville Tourism & Convention Bureau, spoke about a consultant’s study done targeting tourism in the upstate of S. C. and how it effect us in Pickens County. Tourism is the #1 industry in S. C. generating $15 billion a year in revenue.

The next Chamber luncheon will be held Thursday, January 18, 2007, with speaker Dr. Lee D’Andrea, Superintendent of the School District of Pickens County.
