The annual planning retreat for the 2006-2007 Chamber Board of Directors was held Wednesday, November 8 at Southern Wesleyan University. Current 2006 President, Carol Walsh, reported on the accomplishments made by the Chamber in 2006 and Kent Dykes, the Executive Director, spoke on the goals for the Chamber in 2007.

Each year the Easley chamber meets in an all day retreat to elect upcoming officers for the next year and to brainstorm about each of the 5 programs of work of the chamber. At the conclusion of the work session, each Program of Work vice president reports their focus for 2007.

The elected officers for 2007 are:
Board President for 2007: Michael Dent
Board President elect for 2008: Jeff Willis
Board Treasurer for 2007: Ben Hooker

Also elected were Program of Work Vice Presidents.
They are as follows:
Membership Services – Robyn Moore
Public Policy – Chris Brown
Quality of Life – Blake Pittman
Economic Development – Danny Youngblood
Public Relations & Tourism – Gregg Powell
