The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce held the 3rd Thursday Chamber meeting at the Captain Kimberly Hampton Memorial Library on Thursday, September 21, 2006. J. Chappell “Chap” Hurst spoke to a large group of chamber members and guests about his vision of where Pickens County can be with the county and the municipalities working together. Mr. Hurst became the Pickens County Administrator in June of 2006. He brought with him an extensive background in County Administration from Chesterfield and Lancaster Counties.

Also recognized at the meeting by Mayor Chris Christopherson was the newly announced City Administrator of Easley, John Fox Simons.

The 3rd Thursday Luncheon next month will be held at the library on October 19th and will feature Senator Larry Martin and Representative Phillip Owens as speakers.
