On May 9, the Easley Chamber of Commerce held its annual golf tournament at Smithfields Country Club. The tournament had 22 teams of golfers and each hole had a sponsor with a table with items to give to the golfers. Michael Dent – Allstate Insurance – chaired the tournament committee and instituted a format combining play and a business expo.

1st prize winners from CFS/Mass Mutual: Greg Darley, Marshall Darley, Miss South Carolina Erika Powell, Matt Darley, and Chip Junkin.
The 2nd Prize winner was The Southerland Construction Company with Tommy Dacus, Brett Southerland, Jack Snedigar and Glenn Smith
3rd Prize was won by WCCP with David Pickens, Brad Elrod, Brian Garvin, and Brian Darra.
Elaine Morgan of Raymond James summed it up correctly when she said, “It was a lot of fun and an excellent time to meet new people and be “involved” with them while they played! It was an EXCELLENT IDEA and excellent tournament.”
