Easley Chamber Closes on Building

The Easley Chamber of Commerce closed on the Chamber building at 2001 E. Main Street on January 5, 2006.   Developer and chamber member Danny Youngblood sold the building to the Chamber as its permanent home.  ”We are pleased to finally have a permanent home with such a fine location for the Chamber of Commerce” stated Kent Dykes, Executive Director.   “The Chamber was chartered in 1947 and this is the first time we have actually owned our location.”

Judy Burns, former Executive Director had the vision to have a permanent home and she got the ball rolling in 2005.   With contributions we had the funds for the down payment for this office.   We still have much work to do to complete the fund raising to pay for this building, so the Capital Funds Campaign will continue through 2006.

All are invited to visit the Easley Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center to see the services we provide for the members and the community.   You can also learn more about the Chamber of Commerce by going online to our new website www.easleychamber.org.
