Confluence Holdings Corp. (Confluence), the world’s premier paddlesports company, announced that it has been selected by the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce as the Business of the Month for December. Confluence was selected as the Business of the Month based on their recent employee hiring in the area and in recognition of the contribution to the business and economic climate of the area by consolidating their operations to Easley.

“The Greater Easley area offers a strong workforce and a rich environment for us to develop and manufacture our products. This will ensure that we continue as the leading canoe and kayak manufacturer in the world,” said Robert Sharp, Confluence CEO. “It’s an honor to be recognized by the Chamber and we look forward to many more successful years in Easley.”

“We are pleased to recognize Confluence as Business of the Month for December. With the addition of nearly 300 employees, they will have a major impact on the economy of the area,” said Kent Dykes Executive Director of the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce.

In May of 2005 Confluence Holdings Corp., previously based in Trinity, NC, acquired the paddlesports brands of Dagger, Perception, Harmony, Mainstream, and AT Paddles from Watermark. In August of 2005 Confluence consolidated their operations into the Watermark facility at 111 Kayaker Way in Easley. This fall, Confluence has embarked on an aggressive employment plan to hire 200 to 300 people to cover their 24 hours a day, 7 days a week manufacturing schedule.
